We love Log Cabin blocks at Village Fabrics and here is a slightly different way of showcasing them. The central star is constructed using templates and half square triangles. Accurate cutting and ¼” seams then it is easy! This pattern is named Stars and Bars besides being what you see it is a nod to the Civil War reproduction fabrics used in the sample, as Stars and Bars was a early name for the American flag.
