Forge Mill Needle Museum

We are proud to be in partnership with the Forge Mill Needle Museum as part of their Textile Connoisseurs Club for 2025.

The museum is just a 20 minute drive from our studio in Stockwood and a combined trip makes for a wonderful day out.

Forge Mill Needle Museum: There is more to a needle museum than meets the eye!

Did you know Redditch was famous for producing 90% of the world’s needles during Victorian times?

The museum tells the fascinating story of how the humble needle was made and you can experience the largely unchanged atmosphere of an original scouring mill where needles were cleaned and polished. The top floor of our museum is devoted to the largest public collection of needles and related items in the country – a real treasure trove to explore!

You can also enjoy a varied programme of textile art throughout the year to see needles being put to good use. Details of these exhibitions can be found on the website. www.forgemill.org.uk
