Create a festive wall hanging while learning the versatile technique of machine appliqué in this full-day workshop with Yvonne.

Using the Star Christmas Tree design, you’ll build up a Christmas tree made from a collection of different appliquéd stars, finishing with the little bow and pot at the base. It’s a lovely project for practising accurate appliqué shapes and decorative machine stitching, with plenty of opportunity to make the design your own through your choice of fabrics.

Yvonne will take you through the process step by step, showing you how to prepare your appliqué pieces, position them and stitch them securely in place using your sewing machine.

You’re welcome to bring fabrics from your own stash, or kits will be available to purchase separately if you’d prefer everything coordinated and ready to go.

You will need to bring:

  • Your sewing machine
  • Your usual sewing kit
  • Your chosen fabrics, unless purchasing a kit

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.

This would make a lovely addition to your Christmas decorations and is a great technique to learn for future appliqué projects too.

Booking Information:

🧵Please come a bit earlier to settle yourself in and meet your classmates.
🧵Free parking is available outside.
🧵All of our classes take place at our studio, every student has their own workstation.
🧵Tea and coffee are available all day and please bring your own cup! 

Cancellation Information:

Here are the boring bits, if we need to cancel a class we will issue you with a full refund, or you may transfer your fee to an alternative class. If you cancel a stand alone class we will refund on the following basis:

  • Over 21 days prior to the class a 75% refund
  • 14 – 21 days prior to the class a 50% refund
  • if less than 14 days prior to the class we regret that there will be no refund.
