Civil War Sampler Kit

The three blocks that make up this wall hanging all originate from the time of the American Civil War, namely, Smallpox, Soldier Box and Sugar Cane. I just love the cream, blue, caramel and floral colourway.

We have combined the patterned fabrics with a calm but interesting cream on cream concentrating the eye on the block designs. 

This is a great design for practicing your 1/4 inch seams and half square triangles.  It is small enough to try some hand quilting in keeping with the feel of the era.

The kit contains all the quality cotton fabric to complete the front of the wall hanging including the binding. There are detailed instructions and block assembly diagrams.

This is also a great design for using up scraps so it is also available just as a pattern.
