The three blocks that make up this wall hanging all originate from the time of the American Civil War and it is a suitable project for using up scraps. We have combined the patterned fabrics with calico in our samples concentrating the eye on the block designs.
This is a great design for practicing your 1/4 inch seams and half square triangles. It is small enough to try some hand quilting in keeping with the feel of the era.
