This thread is a 3-ply, 40 weight, Egyptian-brown, extra-long staple cotton thread. It is available in both solid and variegated colours and is suitable for any type of sewing including both hand and machine quilting. The colour changes every inch in the variegated colours.
King Tut is the top choice for visible stitches in quilting. It is a round thread and therefore it sits on top of the quilt when stitched. It also has extremely low lint, thanks to the finest spinning, twisting and finishing techniques used by Superior Thread.
Size: 450 metres on a spool.
We would suggest using a Quilting 90/14 when quilting with this thread and a 50 weight thread in the bobbin. I also hand stitch with this thread and it works well because of the long fibres and the twist in the thread.
