Friday 23rd October - Exploring Folded Patchwork Techniques

Spend the day exploring some of Yvonne’s favourite folded patchwork techniques and discover just how many different effects can be created by folding, layering and stitching fabric.

Folded patchwork is something Yvonne has taught and enjoyed for many years, and this workshop is a chance to experiment with a selection of different techniques rather than working towards just one finished project. You’ll create a series of sample blocks during the day, learning how each one is constructed and picking up plenty of tips along the way.

From bold geometric designs to more intricate folded shapes, it’s a brilliant opportunity to add some new techniques to your patchwork repertoire and perhaps discover a new favourite.

This class is aimed at confident stitchers and is not suitable for complete beginners. You should be comfortable using your sewing machine and have some previous patchwork or sewing experience.

You can bring fabrics from your own stash or choose something from the shop to work with on the day, giving you plenty of scope to experiment with different colour combinations.

You will need to bring:

• Your sewing machine
• Your usual sewing kit
• Your chosen fabrics

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.
