Today I visited a quilt shop in Warrenton, Virginia, Kelly Ann’s Quilting. They too had participated in Sew A Row 2018 - Sew Musical.
They had lots of nooks and crannies, with a variety of styles of fabrics. There was Civil War reproduction, modern geometric, baby and of course Halloween panels and fabrics. I just bought one pattern but had an interesting chat with Kelly Ann as always it’s a small world, they have the same issues and do the same type of things. Their Shop Hop is with ten other shops and runs over six days and they have a theme each year.
They where just across the road from a lovely coffee shop where you could watch them baking their own bread and pies. We then went along to the jail built in 1808.
Warrenton was the home of John Mosby, “the grey ghost”, a successful cavalry colonel in the army of the Confederacy under JEB Stewart.
