Crafter's Walk Around Wallingford

Welcome to a Crafter’s walk around Wallingford. Within the space of a few hundred yards you will find a selection of unique shops catering to your crafting needs.  All offering advice, inspiration and temptation at every turn and a variety of classes are on offer at each shop.

The Oxfordshire town of Wallingford is full of independently owned shops including more than its fair share of craft shops each with knowledgeable staff and a warm welcoming atmosphere. We know that most of you are familiar with us at Village Fabrics but just in case you’re not here is a quick reminder of the variety of classes and social groups we have on offer at St Leonard’s Square.

We offer a wide range of quality patchwork fabrics, classes and unique kits. We have two classrooms and a permanent Christmas room always well stocked with seasonal fabrics, panels and advent calendars. We design our own kits including bags, quilts, cushions, wall-hangings and Block of the Month programmes.  We also sell Husqvarna sewing machines, haberdashery, Simplicity dress patterns, specialist quilting accessories, magazines, books, threads and waddings. Our friendly knowledgeable staff will be happy to advise on designs and colour choices for your unique project.  Join us for patchwork & quilting classes.  Or bring a group along and we can offer free demos, talks, short classes and refreshments.  There is also plenty of chat with a variety of social groups meeting regularly.

Diagonally across the road from us is:

All About the Wool - They are stockists of Sirdar, King Cole, Jamieson and Smith, and some locally grown and spun wool.

Just up the road is:

Further up the road you will find:

Made – By Raspberry Tart & Friends - A wonderful mix of handmade textiles, art, glass, jewellery, home ware, clothing and much more.  There is also a room overflowing with quality yarns and patterns.

Through the Market Square you will find both:
