On the 21st and 22nd September we held our annual Village Fabrics exhibition event. This event is a way of celebrating the gentle art of quilting and the friendships formed through the shared enjoyment of patchwork and quilting. For this event we took down our own quilts and hung up our customers and pupil’s patchwork quilts throughout the shop. We were very impressed with the standard of work that was on display, the quality and variety of projects that turned up were stunning and really reflected the talent and creativity associated with Village Fabrics in every positive way. Some of the pieces that we received included large bed quilts, table runners, appliqued wall hangings, 3D flowers and a playbook. We would like to say a huge thank you to those of you who lent us your treasured patchwork quilts and enabled us to stage such an enjoyable event.
Don’t forget here at Village Fabrics we teach a complete range of classes from beginners to advanced, so if this year’s event has inspired you to start quilting then head on over to www.villagefabrics.co.uk to check out our Autumn 2018 class list. Our classes run from 10am and finish at 4pm. We advise that you come a bit earlier to settle yourself in and meet your classmates. Tea and coffee are available all day and you are welcome to also bring in your own packed lunch. We also host a range of social groups on a weekly basis that you can come and join for a chance to meet, chat and stitch with a group of lovely Village Fabric members.
