Not at the Quilt Show

This morning we took a break from QuiltCon and went to the Frist Art Museum, the rose structure was just outside the entrance.

There was a small exhibit of Impressionist paintings. The importance of the right frame around a picture or a quilt block was really reinforced with this Van Gogh painting. I nearly missed the painting because of the size of the frame!

From the sublime to the ridiculous is the best way to describe the day as we then went to the Legends Corner bar for a drink and live cowboy music. But you could say there was a patchwork wall.

There was soo much rain today it had to be inside activities. Even did a little bit of hand stitching this evening.
