First Quilt of the Trip

My first day was a day of shopping and eating! The temperature reached 93 degrees so an indoor activity was the best option.

There was a visit to Walmart that was disappointing the patchwork fabric was limited and not good quality and they used to carry embroidery thread but I couldn’t find any.

JC Penny and Lord & Taylor didn’t disappoint, so Isaac, Grandma’s got you sorted.

Dinner was a trip to Denny’s for a Bourbon Chicken skillet and then back home for a choice of deserts; chocolate cake, cherry/apple cobbler or cheesecake and interesting conversation. There was mention of quilts, accurate cutting, beginners classes, appliqué and the fact that you don’t have to make large quilts there are wall hangings, placemats and table-runners. Just as in England they have lost some of their fabric shops or they have moved out of town.

A few more stitches of my new wall hanging were completed.

I even have a scalloped edge wash hand basin.
