Social Quilting Groups
We have a number of social groups that meet on a regular basis; a great way to indulge your passion and meet with like mined people. You bring along whatever you are working on and sit down without distractions and sew or knit. There is NO formal teaching , however there is lots of sharing of ideas and tips.
The Monday Quilters & Wednesday Quilters
In these social groups there is no tuition but lots of experienced sewers who will lend a helping hand. The Monday ladies bring their sewing machines while the Wednesday ladies do not. The cost is £4 for the day.
Tuesday Girls
A group of ladies meet on a Tuesday evening from 6pm – 9pm with a variety of sewing projects. The cost is £4 for the evening.
Village Angels
A lively group of ladies who meet to chat and stitch by hand. Sessions run every Thursday. The cost is £4 for the day.
The Fabricholics
These ladies meet on the first Saturday of each month to chat, sew and get things finished. Expert advice is on hand and new members are always greeted warmly. You can either hand sew or bring your machine. The cost is £6 per for the day.
Social Knitting and Crochet Group
This is a supportive and friendly gathering which meets regularly on the first Thursday of the month, 10am – 4pm. The cost is £4 for the day.
Dear Jane Sewing Group
This group is inspired by a quilt made by hand in 1865 by Jane Stickle. If you are interested in hand piecing and appliqué do come and join in and start making your own wonderful project. Sessions run on the first Friday of every month. This is a hand technique class.The cost is £6 per session including the cake!
Historical Social Group
A group that hand-sew exquisite projects mainly using reproduction fabrics. Sessions run on the third Friday of every month. This is a hand technique class. The cost is £6 for the day.
