Social Quilting Groups
If you don't want to go to a class, remember we have a number of social groups that meet on a regular basis. You bring along whatever you are working on and sit down without distractions and sew or knit. There is NO formal teaching but there is lots of sharing of ideas and tips.
The Monday Quilters & Wednesday Quilters
We have groups of ladies who meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, very originally known as The Monday Quilters and the Wednesday Quilters respectively. The Monday ladies bring their sewing machines while the Wednesday ladies do not. There is no tuition but lots of experienced sewers who will lend a helping hand.
The cost is £3 for the day.
Tuesday Girls
A group of mad ladies meet on a Tuesday evening from 6pm – 9pm. These are the Tuesday Girls and all kinds of sewing goes on here.
The cost is £3 for the evening.
Saturday Stitchers aka The Fabricholics
The Fabricholics meet on the first Saturday of each month to chat, sew and get things finished. Expert advice is on hand and new members are always greeted warmly. You can either hand sew or bring your machine.
The cost is £5 for the day.
Knitting and Crochet Group
The cost is £3 per for the day.
This is a supportive and friendly gathering which meets regularly on the first Thursday of the month. You can drop in for an hour or so, or half a day, or the full day and bring lunch, whatever suits you! We supply the tea or coffee. If you are interested do come along, there is plenty of encouragement and chatter.
