Baskets and Stars
Welcome to our very latest Block of the Month. As always we have tried to come up with something unique for you. Linda, ably supported by Sandra and Rosie, has created Baskets and Stars.
Inspired by Civil War reproduction fabrics, this is a double bed sized quilt that combines precise piecing and machine appliqué. The finished size is 82” x 82”. There are 12 different appliqué flower baskets and 13 pieced stars. The sashing strips are joined by 9 patch cornerstones that combine with the star blocks to create a lovely secondary pattern. While the muted colours have depth and will compliment most homes. There are 21 different fabrics in the quilt. So to avoid confusion we have numbered the fabrics and a key in this introductory leaflet.
The programme runs for 14 months and includes full instructions, with full size templates and pattern layouts, fabric for all the blocks, borders and binding.
The cost is £17.50 per month, £16.50 for members. This price includes postage and packaging within UK.
We are happy to send Block of the Months to anywhere in Europe, but there will be an additional cost for postage.
We can supply a backing fabric and wadding pack at additional cost.
As always Sheila Wilkinson has worked her magic on her long arm quilting machine and has custom quilted Baskets and Stars for us. If you would like Sheila to quilt your one just let us know.
